AD0505C and AD0505D are high-end PMSM FOC motor controllers (FOC ESC) for light unmanned aircraft and watercraft.

AD0505 is designed for use in propulsion systems of light unmanned aerial, underwater, and surface vehicles. The controller provides up to 1200 W of continuous power output and supports a wide range of operating voltages from 13 to 51 V (Li-ion 4–12 S).

Applications:

• Propeller and fan drives for light unmanned aerial vehicles.
• Pump and propeller drives for unmanned watercraft.
• Fuel pump drives for jet engines and gas turbines.

Communication interfaces:

• CAN bus (Cyphal/CAN or DroneCAN)
• RC PWM
• Analog voltage or current control

Note that AD0505 ships without cables. Please add the necessary cables to your order manually.

Variants

Bare PCB models

The bare PCB models are optimized for applications where the size and weight are critical, and the environment is well-controlled. The mass of the bare PCB model is only 13 grams (15 g for the high-power Z-suffix models). These models require the integrator to solder the power and interface wires directly to the PCB. The available models are:

• AD0505C0: 37A, single CAN bus, cost-sensitive applications
• AD0505C0Z: 45A, single CAN bus, high-power cost-sensitive applications
  
• AD0505D0: 37A, dual CAN bus, BEC, mission-critical applications
• AD0505D0Z: 45A, dual CAN bus, BEC, high-power mission-critical applications

All models support the industry-standard RC PWM interface.

AD0505C & AD0505D replace the previous generation of motor controllers of the same power level: AD0505A (aka Myxa A) and AD0505B (aka Myxa B). The old version is still available for the existing customers, and there are no plans to obsolete it. However, new projects should be based on this improved revision.
