A 20x20" pillow hand sewn in Brooklyn New York. Cut and quilted together from a vintage Guatemalan huipil. Each pillow is unique and made from a hand embroidered traditional poncho from Guatemala. This pillow was upcycled with love to highlight the beauty of the hand embroidery. This purple huipil has touches of teal and bright pink woven into the fabric. The hand embroidered floral motifs have been appliquéd with teal thread. They were originally part of the neckline of the poncho- as shown. There are some minor flaws in the fabric due to the huipil's age and the handmade nature- see close up. The back is made from a purple linen and has a overlap opening. The pillow insert is not included. There is only one of this color and design.
