Akinori wrap dress sewing pattern is a kimono-inspired dress that hugs the waist with a belt.

The elegant yet straightforward dress is designed for lightweight woven fabric but works equally well in jersey fabric.  

FABRIC AND NOTIONS

Choose a lightweight woven or jersey fabric. Choose silk, cotton, viscose or any other fabric with a beautiful drape.

If sewing the garment in jersey, size down one size. The interfacing must be compatible with the fabric.

Skill level 3/4. Although sewing the dress does not take much time, the technique of bagging and turning the front yoke takes some practice.
